In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting Catawba Ridge Copperheads softball team scored a tight 9-8 win over the Union County Yellowjackets.
The Copperheads now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host American Leadership Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 15. Catawba Ridge will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 11-4 non-league loss to Horse Creek Academy (Aiken, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Union County moves to 0-2 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Chapman (Inman, SC) to encounter the Panthers in a non-league outing on Wednesday, March 19. The Panthers come into the outing with a record of 2-0.
