The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) and the visiting Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC), observed South Caldwell's softball team notch a victory over Oak Grove by a final score of 16-0.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Watauga was routed by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 14-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 19. Oak Grove will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).
