In Friday's non-league test, the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Albany Hornets (Albany, LA), by a tally of 17-2.
Next, the Yellowjackets clash with the Walker Wildcats (Walker, LA) in a 5A District 5 test, on Thursday, March 20. Denham Springs will attempt to advance on its 6-11 season record.
The Hornets (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Raiders go into the 3A District 7 test with a 2-2 record.
