The Covington Lions softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Pine Raiders to 2 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hammond for a 5A District 6 battle on Tuesday, March 18. Covington will confront a Tornadoes team coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to Central Private (Baker, LA). The Tornadoes record now stands at 2-15.

With the loss, Pine moves to 4-3 on the season. The Raiders host Albany (Albany, LA) to confront the Hornets in a 3A District 7 battle on Tuesday, March 18. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 5-9.
