North Carolina High School Softball - Porter Ridge bounces South Mecklenburg

March 14, 2025: Indian Trail, NC 28079

The Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) softball routed the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 10-4 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Pirates now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 15. Porter Ridge will encounter a Pumas team coming off a 20-1 league win over Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, South Mecklenburg moves to 5-4 on the season. The Sabres travel to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to encounter the Titans in a non-league outing on Monday, March 17. The Titans come into the outing with a record of 3-2. Hopewell won 18-2 in their recent league outing against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC)
