Exeter Monarchs (Exeter, CA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA), 10-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Exeter upgrades its record to 3-4 on the year. The Monarchs travel to McFarland (McFarland, CA) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, March 14. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 1-4. McFarland won 10-7 in their recent non-league game against Del Oro (Bakersfield, CA)

The Chieftains now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Granite Hills for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 14. Sierra will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 15-6 non-league loss to Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 2-2.
