The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) and the host Farragut Admirals (Knoxville, TN), observed Independence's softball team get by Farragut by a tally of 6-3.

The Eagles (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Gibbs (Corryton, TN). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Gibbs was routed by Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

The Admirals now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Bearden for a 4A District 4 contest on Tuesday, March 17.
