California High School Softball - Walnut edges Katella

March 14, 2026: Anaheim, CA 92806

The Walnut Mustangs softball team scored 7 runs and held the host Katella Knights to 5 in the Mustangs non-league win on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Segerstrom for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 14. Walnut will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 11-0 non-league loss to La Habra (La Habra, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-4.

The Knights (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaparral (Temecula, CA). The Pumas go into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Chaparral by Temecula Valley (Temecula, CA), 6-4, in a league challenge.
