Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw Union Pines's baseball squad beat Anson by a margin of 11-1.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, March 16. Union Pines will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 6-3 league loss to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC).

The Bearcats now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroe for a Rocky River 2A/3A battle on Tuesday, March 22. Anson will play a Redhawks squad coming off a 23-0 non-league loss to Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-3.
