In Tuesday's league game, the host Covington Cougars baseball team scored a nice 17-1 victory over the Roanoke Catholic Celtics.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their game against James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Mavericks go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
The Celtics (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels go into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Fleming was overwhelmed by Northside (Roanoke, VA), 18-2, in a league game.
