The Bishop McGuinness Villains held off the host Asheboro Blue Comets soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Tuesday's non-league match.
The Villains now sport a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Leadership Academy for a Northwest Piedmont 1A match on Friday, March 18.
With the loss, Asheboro drops to 2-2 on the season. The Blue comets travel to High Point Central (High Point, NC) to encounter the Bison in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 23. The Bison come into the match with a record of 0-4.
