Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw Union Pines's baseball squad knock off Anson by a count of 13-3.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, March 16. Union Pines will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 8-1 league win over Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC).
