Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes (Georgetown, IL), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Purple Riders now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to LeRoy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. Arcola will face a Panthers squad coming off a 18-3 non-league win over Heritage (Broadlands, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Georgetown-Ridge Farm falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Armstrong (Armstrong, IL) to face the Trojans in a Vermilion Valley challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Armstrong won 13-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL)
