South Carolina High School Baseball - Calhoun County sneaks past Orangeburg-Wilkinson

Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC) and the host Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC), saw Calhoun County's baseball squad edge Orangeburg-Wilkinson by a count of 15-14.

Coming up next, the Saints play the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC) in a 1A Region 4 battle, on Thursday, March 16. Calhoun County will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 7-5 league loss to Williston-Elko (Williston, SC).

The Bruins now possess a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brookland-Cayce for a 3A Region 5 battle on Friday, March 17. Orangeburg-Wilkinson will play a Bearcats squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-4.
