West Virginia High School Basketball - Bluefield thwarts Wheeling Central Catholic

The Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) basketball knocked off the visiting Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV), 76-68 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Beavers (19-7) will now prepare for their test against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 21-3 record. In their last test, Chapmanville Regional notched a victory over Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV), 49-43, in a non-league test.

The Maroon Knights now own a 14-11 record.
