The Whiteville Wolfpack baseball team (Whiteville, NC), was overwhelmed 18-5 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC)
The Buccaneers now hold a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Brunswick for a non-league outing on Friday, March 17. Laney will confront a Scorpions team coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 2-1.
Next, the Wolfpack confront the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, March 18. Whiteville will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Rams go into the outing with a 1-4 record after their 8-3 non-league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC).
