Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph-Ogden for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 15. Tri-Valley will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Blue Ridge falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL) to battle the Storm in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 17. The Storm enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Salt Fork won 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL)
