The Cherokee Braves the visiting Mountain Heritage Cougars softball squad by a final score of 9-5 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Braves (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats go into the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Andrews was routed by Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), 12-1, in a league battle.
The Cougars now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they host North Buncombe for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 16. Mountain Heritage will meet a Black Hawks squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 1-4.
