Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Tanque Verde Hawks (Tucson, AZ) and the host Cholla Chargers (Tucson, AZ), witnessed Tanque Verde's softball squad prevail over Cholla by a count of 17-3.

The Hawks now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Cruz Valley for a non-league match on Monday, March 20. Tanque Verde will meet a Dust Devils squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Benson (Benson, AZ). The Dust Devils record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Cholla moves to 1-10 on the season. The Chargers travel to San Miguel (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Vipers in a non-league match on Thursday, March 16. The Vipers go into the match with a record of 1-1. San Miguel won 39-34 in their recent non-league match against San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ)
