The Gloucester Dukes softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Churchland Truckers to 5 in the Dukes non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Gloucester moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Dukes host Hampton (Hampton, VA) to clash with the Crabbers in a Peninsula game on Thursday, March 16. The Crabbers come into the game with a record of 0-1. Hampton lost 39-2 in their recent league game against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA)

In their next game, the Truckers clash with the First Colonial Patriots (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 17. Churchland will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
