Nash Central Bulldogs (Rocky Mount, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northern Nash for a The Big East 2A/3A challenge on Thursday, March 16. Nash Central will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, North Johnston falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC) to face the Gators in a Neuse Six 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Spring Creek won 10-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC)
