Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Whitney Young Dolphins (Chicago, IL), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glenwood for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5.

With the loss, Whitney Young falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Dolphins travel to Normal Community (Normal, IL) to battle the Ironmen in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Ironmen enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Normal Community lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against LeRoy (LeRoy, IL)
