In Friday's non-league test, the host Columbus Explorers lacrosse squad scored a tight 14-12 victory over the Gulf Coast Sharks.
The Explorers now have a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Western for a 2A D16 test on Monday, March 18. Columbus will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Coral Springs (Coral Springs, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
In their next game, the Sharks face the Boca Raton Bobcats (Boca Raton, FL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, March 16. Gulf Coast will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the test with a 7-3 record after their 12-1 non-league win over Archbishop McCarthy (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
