In Friday's non-league test, the host Vestavia Hills Rebels lacrosse squad scored a good 20-9 victory over the Johns Creek Gladiators.

The Rebels now have a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Brook for a AL East test on Wednesday, March 20. Vestavia Hills will play a Spartans team coming off a 17-6 non-league loss to McCallie (Chattanooga, TN). The Spartans record now stands at 6-5.

With the defeat, Johns Creek drops to 2-9 on the season. The Gladiators travel to Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL) to play the Lions in a non-league match on Saturday, March 16. The Lions go into the match with a record of 7-2. Briarwood Christian lost 8-7 in their recent league match against Mountain Brook (Birmingham, AL)
