The Avenal Buccaneers softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Exeter Monarchs to 3 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Avenal improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Buccaneers host Farmersville (Farmersville, CA) to clash with the Aztecs in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 19. The Aztecs come into the game with a record of 5-5.

In their next game, the Monarchs clash with the Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 20. Exeter will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record.
