Dover Pirates (Dover, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Elkins Elks (Elkins, AR), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Clarksville for a 4A Region 4 challenge on Monday, March 25.

With the loss, Elkins falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Elks travel to Melbourne (Melbourne, AR) to face the Bearkatz in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Bearkatz enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Melbourne lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Bentonville (Bentonville, AR)
