Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hemet Bulldogs (Hemet, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Stars now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Whittier Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. Mary Star of the Sea will face a Heralds squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Hemet (Hemet, CA). The Heralds record now stands at 8-6.
