Kendrick Tigers (Kendrick, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting St. Maries Lumberjacks (St. Maries, ID), 21-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie for a 1A White Pine challenge on Monday, March 18. Kendrick will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 23-3 league loss to Clearwater Valley (Kooskia, ID). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, St. Maries falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Grangeville (Grangeville, ID) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Central Idaho game on Monday, March 18. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 1-0. Grangeville won 15-11 in their recent non-league game against Pullman (Pullman, WA)
