Providence Hall Patriots (Herriman, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lone Peak Knights (Highland, UT), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Juan Diego Catholic for a 3A Region 14 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Providence Hall will battle a Soaring Eagle squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT). The Soaring Eagle record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Lone Peak falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Blackfoot (Blackfoot, ID) to battle the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Blackfoot won 14-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Skyline (Salt Lake City, UT)
