The Monterey Wolves routed the host Plainview Hornets softball squad by a final score of 13-1 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Wolves (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Chiefs go into the non-league battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Natchitoches Central notched a victory over Haughton (Haughton, LA), 7-4, in a league battle.
The Hornets now possess a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Pickering for a non-league battle on Monday, March 18. Plainview will confront a Red Devils squad coming off a 15-2 league loss to Oakdale (Oakdale, LA). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-5.
