Whitney Young Dolphins (Chicago, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Dolphins now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Normal Community for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. Whitney Young will face a Ironmen squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Mundelein (Mundelein, IL). The Ironmen record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Normal West falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. St. Joseph-Ogden won 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Salt Fork (Sidell, IL)
