In Saturday's non-league game, the host Boyd Yellowjackets baseball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Decatur Eagles.

The Yellowjackets (14-1) will now prepare for their game against Valley View (Valley View, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region II District 10 game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Valley View was tipped by Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX), 13-11, in a league game.

Next, the Eagles play the Aubrey Chaparrals (Aubrey, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 18. Decatur will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Chaparrals go into the game with a 6-6 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Brock (Brock, TX).
