South Carolina High School Baseball - Carolina Forest sneaks past Sumter

In Saturday's non-league game, the host Carolina Forest Panthers baseball team scored a close 9-8 victory over the Sumter Gamecocks.

The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Braves enter the 5A Region 5 game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Socastee held off East Clarendon (Turbeville, SC), 11-10, in a non-league game.

Next, the Gamecocks face the Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 18. Sumter will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Demons enter the game with a 3-4 record after their 8-2 non-league win over Camden (Camden, SC).
