The Quitman Bulldogs edged the host Brookland Bearcats softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs play the Lonoke Jackrabbits (Lonoke, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 15. Quitman will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record.
The Bearcats (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wynne (Wynne, AR). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Wynne was nudged by Searcy (Searcy, AR), 6-5, in a non-league challenge.
