Arizona High School Softball - La Joya Community drops to Buckeye

March 15, 2025: Avondale, AZ 85323

Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad topple the host La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ), 20-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Buckeye improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ) to face the Scorpions in a non-league game on Saturday, March 15. The Scorpions enter the game with a record of 3-4. Desert Edge lost 16-2 in their recent non-league game against Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ)

The Fighting Lobos now hold a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Browne for a non-league game on Tuesday, March 18. La Joya Community will face a Bruins squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ). The Bruins record now stands at 3-0.
