In Saturday's non-league test, the Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, AR) softball squad got by the host Elkins Elks (Elkins, AR), by a tally of 7-6.
Next, the Tigers meet the Horatio Lions (Horatio, AR) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 17. Mansfield will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 2-3 record after their 13-3 non-league loss to Woodlawn (Rison, AR).
The Elks (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (Lincoln, AR). The Wolves go into the 3A Region 1 test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Lincoln was nudged by Gravette (Gravette, AR), 12-7, in a non-league test.
