Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Godley Wildcats (Godley, TX), 8-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Lorena upgrades its record to 10-4 on the year. The Leopards travel to La Vega (Waco, TX) to play the Pirates in a 4A Region III District 23 game on Tuesday, March 18. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 1-6. La Vega lost 16-1 in their recent non-league game against West (West, TX)

The Wildcats now own a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kennedale for a game on Tuesday, March 18. Godley will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 21-17 league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-6.
