Washington High School Softball - Highline sneaks past Vashon Island

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Highline Pirates softball team scored a tight 6-5 win over the Vashon Island Pirates.
The Pirates (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Evergreen (Seattle, WA). The Wolverines come into the 2A KingCo match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Evergreen was nipped by Mount Tahoma (Tacoma, WA), 26-11, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Pirates confront the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 17. Vashon Island will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Islanders come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 8-3 non-league loss to Lindbergh (Renton, WA).
