Lutcher Bulldogs (Lutcher, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Berwick for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 17. Lutcher will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Patterson (Patterson, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-2.
With the loss, Dutchtown falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Griffins host McKinley (Baton Rouge, LA) to face the Panthers in a 5A District 5 challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
