Northside Rams (Northport, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Summit Spartans (Spring Hill, TN), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bob Jones for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. Northside will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Summit falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Franklin (Franklin, TN) to battle the Admirals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Admirals enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Franklin won 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS)
