The Port Allen Pelicans softball squad scored 17 runs and restricted the host Plaquemine Green Devils to 9 in the Pelicans non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Pelicans (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sumner (Kentwood, LA). The Cowboys go into the non-league battle with a 14-2 record.

The Green Devils now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Central Private for a non-league battle on Monday, March 21. Plaquemine will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Dunham (Baton Rouge, LA). The Redhawks record now stands at 2-6.
