Woods Cross Wildcats (Woods Cross, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Roy Royals (Roy, UT), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain Crest for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 18. Woods Cross will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Fremont (Plain City, UT). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Roy falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Cyprus (Magna, UT) to face the Pirates in a 6A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Cyprus won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT)
