In Thursday's non-league game, the host Bryant Hurricanes baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the South Panola Tigers.
The Hurricanes (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 7-8 record. In their last game, Resurrection Catholic tipped Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS), 7-1, in a non-league game.
The Tigers (8-3) will now prepare for their game against Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS). The Eagles go into the 6A Region 2 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Horn Lake was edged by Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS), 9-4, in a non-league game.
