North Carolina High School Baseball - Northwood loses to Union Pines

The Union Pines Vikings the visiting Northwood Chargers baseball team by a count of 7-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Scotland for a Sandhills 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, March 21. Union Pines will face a Fighting Scots team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 6-1.

Next, the Chargers face the Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC) in a Central 3A bout, on Friday, March 17. Northwood will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC).
