Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Huskies confront the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 21. Ashe County will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to North Wilkes (Hays, NC).

The Trojans now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Surry for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 20. Alleghany will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to West Stokes (King, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-3.
