The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) soccer bounced the host Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA), 6-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.
With the win, Fitzgerald moves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Purple Hurricane travel to Dodge County (Eastman, GA) to battle the Indians in a 2A Region 1 bout on Monday, March 20. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Dodge County won 12-2 in their recent league bout against Sumter County (Americus, GA)
In their next game, the Syrupmakers battle the Hardaway Hawks (Columbus, GA) in a 4A Region 1 bout, on Friday, March 17. Cairo will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 10-0 league loss to Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA).
