Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Tide confront the Savannah Christian Raiders (Savannah, GA) in a 3A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, March 21. Long County will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 7-0 league loss to Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA).

The Buccaneers now have a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Johnson County for a 1A D-II Region 2 challenge on Friday, March 17. McIntosh County Academy will confront a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Portal (Portal, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-4.
