In Thursday's non-league test, the host St. Charles North North Stars lacrosse squad scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Hampshire Whip-Purs.
The North Stars now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waubonsie Valley for a non-league test on Friday, April 28.
In their next game, the Whip-Purs face the Dundee-Crown Chargers (Carpentersville, IL) in a test, on Thursday, April 13. Hampshire will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
