In Thursday's non-league contest, the Mountain View Cougars (Bend, OR) softball team overwhelmed the host Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR), by a margin of 18-3.

With the triumph, Mountain View moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to Crater (Central Point, OR) to play the Comets in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 18. The Comets come into the contest with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Lancers play the South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 18. Churchill will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Axe come into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to South Salem (Salem, OR).
