The South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) softball routed the host North Bend Bulldogs (North Bend, OR), 24-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Lancers (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Hidden Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Hidden Valley toppled Brookings-Harbor (Brookings, OR), 15-3, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Newport for a non-league bout on Friday, March 17. North Bend will confront a Cubs squad coming off a 25-16 non-league loss to Taft (Lincoln City, OR). The Cubs record now stands at 0-1.
